NFT to Canvas: How to Go From Mint to Print

Imagine it: the best NFT piece you have on your wallet hung up on your wall for the guests and family to enjoy.

NFTs have had great success in 2021 -- sparking a mad gold rush of sorts that results in sales that amount to millions of dollars. NFTs, are what many can now consider as the internet’s modern-day treasures. Non-fungible tokens, or more prominently known as NFTs, have continuously grown in prevalence among the advanced frontiers of the internet’s many communities.

The NFT market started blooming into a multibillion industry in the early 2020s. Within three years, from 2018 up to 2021, the NFT industry has grown tenfold, making noise in internet forums and business columns around the globe as record sale after record sale was completed -- culminating in the biggest NFT sale in history.

This futuristic treasure hunt seemingly ripped right off a Star Wars spinoff has enabled collectors and artists all over the globe by opening doors of opportunities that ultimately ended up in transactions that value in the millions. Among such dumbfounding sales during this modern motherlode of an industry is the Mike “Beeple” Winkelmann’s NFT artwork for the ages that sold for over $69.3 million, the Jack Dorsey ancient autographed tweet -- the founder’s first-ever -- that sold for almost three million dollars, and the six-million dollar collection by Grimes that broke the internet.

Being powered by blockchain technology, NFTs are designed to be admired on screen. Many experts and thought leaders in the multimedia industry, however, believe that physical prints and NFT wall displays merit exploration of their own.

Where to Get NFTs Printed

With the versatility experts describe, NFTs can be enjoyed in a plethora of different ways. One good way to fully utilize your NFT without having to make a sale out of it is by transforming it from mint to print through an NFT print on demand site. A good work of art in the perfect location in the home, office or bedroom is sure to enliven even the dullest of rooms.

The NFT market hasn’t been explored to its full extent. Through blockchain technology. The application of smart contracts and similar features have not been fully charted. To expand the use cases of such revolutionary technology, one direction companies took is the extension of NFT art to the physical world.

While it isn’t exactly the conventional way of enjoying NFTs, there are several visionaries who’ve taken measures towards the production of high-quality NFT print.

Built on the passions of its core group of NFT enthusiasts, NFTYINK followed their company mantra of elevating the crypto art experience from  “mint to print.” To make quality NFT prints attainable, NFTYINK developed a service that will allow fellow enthusiasts to enrich the experience through state-of-the-art upsizing services.

NFTYINK specializes in providing premier upsizing solutions to customers to focus on customization and personalization. Such upsizing solutions are built on the prowess of highly-capable artists who share the NFTYINK’s vision for quality. In NFTYINK’s mission for quality, longevity, and durability, they use archival ink and museum-grade substrates. The material in which the art is printed is highly customizable as well to produce the best material for the best location. With options ranging from canvas, acrylic, metal, and luxe archival paper, NFTs will surely have the optimal look for any location and any occasion.

Hanging up your NFT Art

Now knowing what options you have in creating your physical NFT prints, the next question to ask yourself is: where do they go?

NFT art can rehaul the vibe of an entire room. It’s important to place the NFT art where it will not only serve its purpose as conversation material, trophy, and what have you but also build the overall look of a room. With the perfect execution, any dull room can be transformed into a vibrant place for relaxation and art appreciation.

In places of work, a good NFT artwork can be a good conversation piece that can help entrepreneurs as they lobby for their business ventures. If artists wish to showcase their work, NFT wall displays can be used as galleries of their work that can highlight their skills and capabilities.

It’s important to mix and match. Canvases with classically ornamented frames will fare well in more traditionally styled rooms where there are natural elements like wood. Metal canvases will look beautiful in modern-styled spaces. The minimalist and frameless form that metal sheets have will blend in with the urban sophistication that modern styling possesses.

It’s also important to take note of the space the NFT art goes into. You can’t have a small piece of artwork drowned out in wide areas. It’ll be a waste of good NFT. It’s important to upsize your NFT artwork to optimal widths and lengths that respond well to the allocated space.

Potential in Printing NFTs

Similar to the world’s greatest works of art, NFTs have, in their own way, built a luxury status comparable to many collectors’ treasures. Through blockchain technology, artists and collectors are given the power to claim that they own the bonafide and original minted versions of their assets -- marked with a ‘digital signature’ as verifiable evidence of validity.

Using blockchain technology and its revolutionary innovation called ‘smart contracts’ the way NFTs work is quite similar to cryptocurrency. This system is the reason why NFTs usually exist in the digital space. In some cases, artists have even restricted their work from being printed physically by succeeding owners. However, experts in the multimedia field believe that, unlike the traditional and physical artworks of the real world, NFTs aren’t confined to a single configuration, giving it versatility in the manner in which to be presented.

“This way the content can mature with technology. Unlike a physical work of art, it isn’t confined to one form, so it can be displayed differently decades from now,” an Art Specialist from Christie’s Contemporary, Meghan Doyle, claims.

A textbook example of such a circumstance is Beeple’s work called “Everydays: The First 5000 Days.” Crypto-investor Vignesh Sundaresan is its owner and can never have it printed and hung. In recent months, however, experts have found information that has allowed some optimism in the belief that this can change. These experts believe that as more and more artists or content creators enter the digital space and the NFT market, audiences and enthusiasts will start wanting to see something physical.

“Even I would prefer to have a painting over a JPEG,” says Rachel Rossin, seasoned multimedia artist. Rossin was also among the New Museum’s first virtual reality fellow. “But what makes NFTs interesting is that you can put them wherever you like: on a large screen or a small one, you can have a dedicated computer for your virtual reality pieces, you can build a screen wall for it. Experiment—doing what brings you delight is the point of collecting anything,” she added.
